Grow delicious sprouts on the cress sieve in four steps
1. Select germinating seeds and soak them
To prepare the seeds for cultivation, it is important that you soak them beforehand. Use a level tablespoon of seeds (approx. 8g) and let them soak in a glass. You can find a table of recommended soaking times here .
2. Distribute germination seeds
Spread the soaked germination seeds evenly over the cress sieve and press down lightly.
Tip: We recommend covering the seeds with a plate or board for the first 2-3 days so that the humidity is maintained and the seeds do not dry out too quickly.
3. Seedlings become sprouts
The growth phase begins after about 3 days. Now you should carefully rinse the sprouts under clear water twice a day. This way you ensure ideal growing conditions.
Tip: Place the sprout bowl in a bright place without direct sunlight.
4. Harvest sprouts
Depending on the variety, you can harvest the sprouts after just a few days. You can find a list of germination times here .
Hints:
- The germination times are guidelines as growth depends on many factors such as temperature, light and air circulation.
- Please wash the sprouts thoroughly under clear water before consumption.
