The Grow-Grow Nut is a Microgreen growing kit made from a robust upcycled coconut shell , coconut coir bricks , and a variety of delicious organic seeds . It not only looks great on the windowsill or dining table, but also enriches everyday life: Enjoy fresh Microgreen on bread for breakfast, add an extra dose of vitamins to your salad at lunch, or garnish your soup at dinner.
Whether for yourself or as a meaningful gift for your family & friends (it doesn't always have to be socks at Christmas) – from today onwards, you can get fresh vitamins without a green thumb, but with style!
And it works that easily
- Soak the coconut shell for 2-3 hours and then place it on a suitable bowl.
- Place a coconut coir brick in the bowl and pour water over it until it is fully saturated.
- Grab your organic seeds and spread them evenly on the soil, pressing them down gently.
- If necessary, spray the seeds with a little more water and place the included cover on your tray.
- Now let the Microgreen germinate in the dark for 3-4 days , checking occasionally whether the soil is still moist.
- Once your seedlings push the cover upwards , you can remove it.
- Now let your Microgreen grow in daylight a few more days until they reach the desired size
- From now on, you can water Microgreen as needed , or water them from below by placing a saucer under the actual growing device and filling it with water. This way, the plants can absorb as much water as they need without being overwatered.
- After 5-7 days , your young vegetables are ready to enjoy!
Consumption instructions
Please harvest and enjoy the fully grown Microgreenwithin a few days. Since these are young seedlings and not sprouts, please only consume them above the root.
Care instructions
As a natural product, coconut shells are very robust; however, extreme temperature fluctuations can cause slight cracks in the shell. To prevent this, we recommend soaking your coconut for 2-3 hours before each use .
