This organic originally-broccoli is another superfood among the sprouts and microgreens. Due to its newly discovered ingredients, he is considered to be an immune stronger and cancer fighter.

Taste: The fresh green of broccoli with its spicy, piquant taste is slightly reminiscent of Chinese cabbage.

Ingredients: Broccoli green is characterized by a high content of the antioxidant sulphoraphane , a health-valuable mustard glycoside (up to 100 times higher than ripe broccoli vegetables). It contains mustard oil and sulfur compounds (called glucosinolates), which are well known for anti-cancer effects. In addition broccoli green contain abundant minerals (chromium, iron, fluoride, iodine, potassium, calcium, copper, manganese, magnesium sodium, phosphorus and zinc), vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, K and provitamin A as well as the valuable secondary plant substances: flavonoids, isoflavonoids, glucosinolates, polyphenols, mustard oils and carotene.

Usage: raw: in salad, on bread, for juicing, smoothies, herb quark or as a decoration of your dishes.

Cultivation

This seed can be used for growing microgreen as well as in sprouting jar and cress sieve.

Microgreen cultivation: To grow broccoli as a microgreen, you do not need to soak the organic sprouting seeds.The best option is to cover your growing bowl for the first 2-3 days in an airtight and dark place so that all seeds can germinate optimally. You can harvest after about 6-10 days. More detailed information and tips on microgreen cultivation can be found here.

Cultivation in sprouting jar: To cultivate fresh broccoli sprouts, soak the organic sprouting seeds overnight (approx. 8 hours). After draining, please rinse the broccoli sprouts twice a day. After 3-6 days you can eat the healthy and tasty broccoli sprouts. You can find an exact guide for the sprouting jar here.

Cultivation in the cress sieve: To grow broccoli in a cress sieve, soak the organic sprouting seeds overnight (about 8 hours). Afterwards, you can distribute the seeds evenly on the sieve and cover them dark and airtight for about 2 days. We recommend you to rinse the seedlings twice every day and after 4-6 days you can eat the sprouts. More detailed information about the cultivation in the cress sieve can be found here.
