Pea as Microgreen reminds many of the pea pods from the field that you snacked on as a child. It tastes great as a salad base or on a buttered pretzel. To ensure that nothing goes wrong during cultivation, we give you a short guide here:
- Soak the seeds between 12-14 hours (please no longer),
- Use a bowl without holes and distribute the soil evenly in it,
- Press the earth,
- Now distribute the seeds on your potting soil and water them shortly afterwards,
- Spray your seeds with food-safe diluted hydrogen peroxide solution (I use 30 ml for 1 liter of water for a 3% solution),
- Cover the seeds with a bowl without holes and place a weight on top (e.g. a stone),
- Cover them every day and spray them briefly with your solution and then cover them again with the bowl and the weight,
- If you notice seeds that may not sprout or are mushy when you cover them, sort them out immediately and spray that area with your hydrogen peroxide solution.
- Once the pea seedlings push up the cover shell, you can remove the cover shell,
- Water them and spray them with your hydrogen peroxide solution,
- Place them in the light and water them daily until you harvest them.
Have fun with your successful harvest.
